Reflection Paper No. 4 Principles of Teaching
We discuss the principles of teaching ang learning and she
opened up the question, what do you mean by principles? From the root word
“princepts” it means first or “concepts” theory. We relate our discussion to psychology.
Psychology, taken from two Greek words “psysche” and “logos” literally means “soul”
and “mind and study” it is emphasizes “ study of human behavior. Behavior as
defined psychologically, refers to actions or activities of the individuals
especially to the young children who are belong to the pre-school. According to
Psychologist Mendel, learning can be a formed of Heredity which is natures and
nurtures depend upon their growth and environment.
I realize that learning can be attainable in different ways
and structure. Structure in a sense of family backgrounds of the child, their
community and their status of life, the young learner his/her acquiring
knowledge depends on how the learning process facilitated by the teachers.
Being a future educator I have to equip with knowledge and
learning strategies and techniques in facilitating learning to children at
school and community because I will encounter pupils in individual differences.
